WHAT YOU' DO:

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Evaluate new business transactions and determine the appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and other accounting activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, cash management, and banking.
  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, finance processes, and internal controls.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, commission calculations, and management reporting by providing accurate financial information.
  • Maintain and optimize finance systems and integrations, including NetSuite/ QuickBooks, Bill.com, Rippling, and other finance tools.
  • Coordinate and support the accounting team by reviewing work, providing guidance, and helping resolve accounting questions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand new business initiatives and their accounting impact.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure timely completion of audit requests.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve workflows, and increase the efficiency of the finance function.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance, including at least 2 years in a role with ownership of accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS. Experience with US GAAP is a strong plus.
  • Experience evaluating accounting guidance and determining the appropriate accounting treatment for business transactions.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or improving accounting and finance processes.
  • Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience reviewing the work of others or coordinating accounting activities is preferred
  • Upper-intermediate English (B2+) or higher

Nice to have:

  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
  • Industry experience in IT, AdTech or other digital-first companies (experience in other industries is also welcome).

STEPS OF THE SELECTION PROCESS:

  • Screening Interview (45 minutes) – Initial conversation with a recruiter.
  • Technical Interview (up to 60 minutes) – A deep dive into your functional expertise, problem-solving approach, and practical skills relevant to the role.
  • Final Interview (Up to 60 minutes) – Meet with the Team Lead for an in-depth discussion of your experience and skills.
